The conference will feature two keynote speakers, a panel presentation, four plenaries, and four student presentations. The complimentary virtual event will be ideal for researchers, developers, health professionals, information management professionals and data scientists. We want to thank all of our Symposium Committee members, Committee Chairs and volunteers who made it a huge success.The Texas Health Informatics Alliance (THIA) will host its “First Annual Conference” on Thursday, September 9 from 9:00 a.m. We engaged in professor walk rounds on 12 original posters during the poster session and had overwhelming exhibitor support from 17 vendors. Highlights of the conference included an opening keynote address by Janice Zimmerman, MD, MCCM, MACP, FCCP and a closing keynote by Ruth Kleinpell, PhD, RN, FAAN, FCCM, the President-Elect of SCCM. We proudly hosted 22 speakers for more than 140 registered multi-disciplinary attendees including physicians, nurses, advance practice nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists who earned CE for their participation.
